Stacy May-Johnson
Stacy May-Johnson, (born May 15, 1984, Reno, Nevada) is a former professional softball player for the Chicago Bandits, and an assistant coach for the University of Louisville Cardinals.〔Louisville Cardinals biography of (Stacy May-Johnson ).〕
She majored in Accounting and Physics at the University of Iowa and she recently received the MVP 2008 Professional Woman's Softball League. May was drafted by the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch as the fourth pick in the second round. She earned the 2006 Nokona Rookie of the Year award and was also named to the all-National Pro fastpitch team.
She played for the Chicago Bandits from 2006 to 2010, and for the USA Softball National Team from 2011 to 2012. She was named 2011 USA Softball Female Athlete of the Year for "leading the team to gold medals at the World Cup of Softball VII in Oklahoma City and the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico".〔〔"(May-Johnson Leads USA Softball Athlete of the Year Awards )", National Fastpitch Coaches Association.〕 Her position as an assistant coach for the University of Louisville softball team was announced on July 14, 2014.〔
She is the daughter of Anita May and is married to Nathan Johnson.
